Our Early Years Foundation Stage is for children from 1 year to 5 years. At 5 years some children move onto the Keystage One curriculum, whilst other children may need longer to explore the early years approach.
The Early Years curriculum focuses on the following 6 areas of learning:

  • Communication, Language & Literacy
  • Problem Solving, Numeracy and Reasoning
  • Personal Social & Emotional
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World
  • Creative Development
  • Physical Development

At Keystage One, learners follow the UK National Curriculum where lessons become more formalized though interactive and personalized. All classes have timetabled sessions with both our  Art and Music teachers and an opportunity to swim once or twice a week  with our Swimming instructor.

The Mutliple Disciplinary Team (MDT)  includes therapeutic sessions in Speech,Physio and Dance & Drama and assessments by the Educational Psychologist.  Therapists work with children both individually and in small groups.

Assessment (APP) is ongoing and is built into all activities so that a child’s development is nurtured and fostered. Progression is tracked through observation and following targets laid out in each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

A Home/School book forms a link between home and school so that both parents/carers and teachers can communicate daily.
